Carrot Cupcakes

My friends Grandma had a birthday this past weekend. I made her chocolate/peanut butter, lemon/raspberry and red velvet cupcakes (see previous posts to see these yummy flavors), I also made these yummy cupcakes. Delicious, moist and a little crunchy from the walnuts......carrot cupcakes. Topped with a dollop of cream cheese frosting and garnished with more walnuts.

Tea Party

Spring time flowers, ladies in dresses, antique furniture and candles sprinkled across the yard and cupcakes. Tea time just isn't the same without cupcakes. Today the ladies at this specific tea party dined on vanilla cupcakes topped with a raspberry cream frosting and lemon blueberry cupcakes filled with lemon curd and topped with a lemon mascarpone frosting. Utterly divine!

Boston Cream Pie

Turning a yummy cake recipe into smaller bite size versions is so much fun!!! These super yummy cakes are filled with custard and topped off with a rich chocolate glaze. I added an extra little dollop of custard just for fun. These are insanely good!!!!

Super Bowl

Football and cupcakes go hand and hand, especially when they look this good!! Here is today's line-up: A chocolate stout cupcake topped with Irish cream buttercream and wrapped in a "beer" wrapper, two vanilla cupcakes topped with "green grass" cream cheese frosting, one with a sports flag and the other with a white chocolate field goal and chocolate football and lastly a chocolate cupcake topped with cream cheese frosting, a refs whistle and wrapped in ref stripes. Game on!!

Fall Is In The Air

Fall is my favorite time of year.  You get to snuggle up under blankets and sip on warm mugs of cocoa.  Not to mention the smell of things baking in the oven! Trust me, the smell of these will make you want to eat them before you even get the frosting on!  These little guys are are pumpkin cupcakes topped with cinnamon frosting and a caramel drizzle.  Nothing screams fall more than these!!!!!

Fall Fest

A couple of weeks ago my daughters school had a Fall Festival and needed goodies for their cake walk.  I thought of doing a typical fall flavor but these are kids.  When it comes to kids, you cannot go wrong with plain white cake, chocolate frosting topped with colorful sprinkles.  It is a kid staple!!!!

Baby Shower Blue

A good friend of mine is having a baby boy very soon and we surprised her this weekend with a baby shower.  It was a great time and I was able to create some yummy cupcakes just for her.
